Handheld Fiber Optic OTDR with FTTx Function

Toronto, Canada - GAO Comm (www.GAOComm.com) is offering its handheld fiber optic OTDR with FTTx fiber network testing function. This rugged OTDR is widely used in the manufacture, construction and maintenance of fiber optic networks.
This innovative optical time domain reflectometer, model C0250003, is small in size, light in weight and has a splash proof design. It features an extra-short event dead zone of only 1.6 m, a high resolution of 0.125 m, 65 k sampling points and a convenient visual fault location (VFL) function. It offers quick auto measuring mode, manual testing mode, average testing mode and blind zone testing mode. The OTDR provides 3 wavelengths including 1310/1550 nm ± 20 nm, 1550/1625 nm ± 20 nm and 1310/1550/1490 nm ± 20 nm in single mode fiber applications. It allows a pulse width of 10 to 20480 ns and has a waveform storage capacity of up to 800. In addition, this portable OTDR saves and transfers test results to a computer via a USB interface for further analysis, reporting and printing via the included software.
This handheld optical time domain reflectometer (OTDR) belongs to GAO's family of OTDRs. A more advanced similar product in this line is Handheld Fiber Optic OTDR (model C0250001) which can be used in both single mode (1310/1550 nm) and multi mode (850/1300 nm) fiber applications. This line also includes Multi-Function Optical Time Domain Reflectometer  (model C0250002) which can be used for testing in a variety of fiber optic applications including WDM, MAN, FTTH and LAN network.

ElectroniCast Latin America – Customer Satisfaction Survey Program

ElectroniCast conducts Customer Satisfaction Surveys.  Customer satisfaction is essential to the survival of businesses; therefore, a valuable tool to find out whether customers are satisfied is to ask them. When you conduct a customer satisfaction survey, what you ask the customers is important. How, when and how often you ask these questions are also important. However, the most important thing about conducting a customer satisfaction survey is analyzing the answers and what is the solution to any problems that may be discovered.
About ElectroniCast
ElectroniCast, founded in 1981, specializes in forecasting technology and global market trends in fiber optics, advanced photonics and light emitting diodes (LEDs).  As an independent consultancy we offer multi-client and custom market research studies to the world's leading companies based on comprehensive, in-depth analysis of quantitative and qualitative factors. Micron Optics, Inc. Expands Sales and System Integrator Network (Latin America)

Micron Optics, Inc. announced a significant global expansion of the company’s established system integrators of fiber Bragg grating (FBG) based optical sensors and sensing interrogators.

This growing trend of Micron Optics system integrators throughout the world is most noticeable in the Americas with the addition of four new system integrators. Impulso Economico Digital Mexicano SA de CV, a Mexican engineering company specializing in structural health monitoring, enjoys having over 25 years of experience in the construction sector. It also has branch offices in Brazil and Chile. Based in Costa Rica, Capris S.A. is the country’s largest supplier of measuring instrumentation serving the medical, civil, automotive, semiconductor, and industrial sectors throughout Central America. The company also provides full engineering and integration services.

Imacu Ingenieria & Servicios, an engineering and construction services company based in Santiago, Chile, specializes in remote and structural health monitoring projects in the mining, civil infrastructure, and geothermal sectors. Geosinergia Ltda., a geotechnical engineering and services company, addresses the geomechanic monitoring needs of the mining, civil, and hydraulic areas in Chile and throughout South America.

Most importantly, these system integrators are supported by the strong technical support team and talented engineers at Micron Optics. “It’s the system integrators who’ve inspired development of important new sensor designs, instrument capabilities, and software features. Our new integrators join a team of some of the most capable instrumentation companies in the world, and their customers will ultimately be the benefactors of both their depth of experience and the many advantages of FBG based sensor solutions,” states Tom Graver, VP of Optical Sensing for Micron Optics. Contact information for each of these Micron Optics system integrators can be found at http://www.micronoptics.com/contact.php
